This version of the Mirka DEROS II 680CV features an 8mm orbit, which makes it perfect for aggressive sanding and when larger areas need to be quickly covered.  Typically it would be used when removing large amounts of stock from walls or for sanding roughened decking prior to refinishing.  This would usually require the use of coarser abrasives, such as .  It uses the 150mm backing pad but can be fitted with the optional if necessary.
